Shalakany successfully represents the Egyptian Group for Multi-Purpose Terminals in relation to a Joint Venture Project

Shalakany is pleased to announce that it has successfully represented the Egyptian Group for Multi-Purpose Terminals (EGMPT), a state owned concessionaire of Piers 55-62 in Alexandria Port, in a Joint Venture with CMA Terminals Holding (CMATH) jointly with CMA Terminals, one of the top ten international container terminal operators. The Project is for a total value exceeding 1 billion Pounds and aims at equipping, managing, operating, and maintaining a multipurpose terminal entitled Tahia Misr Terminal (Piers 55-62) Alexandria Sea Port.


Senior Counsel Emad Shalakany, the lead counsel on this matter said: “I am proud to have worked for more than eight months on this pathfinder project. The terminal will play a vital role in turning the Alexandria Port into a regional hub for trade and logistics thanks to its proximity to the light rail transit (LRT) connecting the ports of the Mediterranean and the Red Seas.”
